What this site is
spectrum-outage.com publishes outage reports submitted by visitors. It is an independent, informational service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Charter Communications or Spectrum, and it is not an official outage notification system.
No warranty on the data
The data is provided as is. Reports are unverified statements by members of the public, and the affected-subscriber figures are weighted estimates rather than measured counts. We do not guarantee that the information is accurate, complete, or current, and an absence of reports does not mean your service is working.
Do not rely on this site for decisions where an outage would cause harm or financial loss, including medical, safety, emergency, or business continuity decisions. Always confirm with Spectrum directly.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit false, misleading, or automated reports, or attempt to manipulate outage figures
- circumvent the rate limit or any other technical control
- submit unlawful, defamatory, abusive, or infringing content, or anyone's personal information
- scrape the site at a volume that degrades it for others
- present the data as official Spectrum information
We may remove reports and block access where we believe these terms have been breached.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of what you write. By submitting a report you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, display, and aggregate it on this site and in derived statistics. Do not submit anything you are not free to share.
Citing our data
You may quote and cite our figures, including in news articles and research, provided you attribute spectrum-outage.com, link to the page you drew from, and make clear the figures are community-submitted reports rather than operator data. Republishing the site wholesale or presenting the data as your own is not permitted.
Trademarks
Spectrum and Charter Communications are trademarks of their respective owners. They are used here only to describe the service being monitored, which is nominative fair use, and no affiliation or endorsement is implied.
